The protests that have swept across America following the wrongful death of George Floyd on May 25th have saddened us to no end and they serve as a reminder, that in spite of how far we have come, we have so far yet to go. The legacy of racism in America is shameful, to say the least, and we are heartbroken at the toll it has had on innocent lives and families.
As an agency seeking to serve others, we are dedicated to fostering a culture of acceptance and kindness, regardless of the color of someone’s skin or their ethnic background. We draw a hard line against racist behavior and stand in support of our Black neighbors and the Black community. It is disheartening to see how prevalent racism remains in our society, but we are encouraged at the rising tide of calls for change. Change is long past due.
We are committed to doing our part to stand up and speak out against racism, to remain open to diversity, and to help build a community where all are welcome, and where all people are treated equally regardless of their race or ethnicity.
