We all want to get more customers, but we want the right customers. The perfect customers. The big question is…
“How do we get the right message to the right customer?”
There are many different modalities to communicate your message – you can share a picture, text, links, or video.
Video is now a dominant medium for sharing mobile and social media content, and generating interest.
Did you know that Facebook is now gearing up to challenge YouTube for video sharing?
This news means there’s another great way to share information. Create a video that shares your message and makes a statement. It’s a perfect opportunity to include what your office looks like while building a digital community. This is also an awesome chance to let people know you’re an expert in your field!
If you do use video as a way to send your message, make sure you keep it short, engaging, and entertaining. Think about including a joke or something fun to break the ice and show your audience your personality. Just don’t go over the top – you don’t want to put anyone off or risk not being taken seriously. Really think about how to entertain and engage and still come across as professional.
These videos can be shared on Facebook, in your newsletter, and on your blog, so keep that in mind when creating it. By making sure the video serves multiple purposes, you’ll get more out of it.
Also when creating Facebook videos don’t do it halfway. If you take a video that is pixilated, has huge glaring errors, or you are not dressed properly, it will do the opposite of what you want. There are many professionals out there who can help you make an amazing video that shows you are a professional who should be taken seriously and a person that customers will want to get to know.
Don’t be afraid to reach out and get quotes before posting a poor quality video. If you can’t afford a professional, there are still options! You can contact a college to see if a video/marketing student would be interested in helping you create some videos. This is not a long term solution – you will probably eventually need to hire someone to help – but it could help you at least get some online video traction.
We are thrilled to continue with these implementable points next month and are happy to assist you or answer any questions you may have.
Thank you,
