Google has recently made significant changes to its management dashboard and requirements that will affect all public profile pages.
These updates include new security features, new page display and editing functions, new image uploader with new display functions, updated page SEO search keyword section, new page user requirements, and new page feature requirements.
What does this mean/What do I need to do?
- If you do not approve the new User Agreements and check to make sure you are following them all, your page could be suspended!
- If you haven’t updated your description section DO IT NOW, because the new features make it much more difficult to access and make edits to your description.
- Confirm that your page is verified, because if it is not there is a possibility that it may not be displaying to the public.
- Check your address and tagline because the new features allow Google to pull more easily from your page for search-ability and this will give you higher SEO if it is filled out properly.
- Make sure you are keeping your page up do date so that no one can gain access to your page.
Some of the functions are great and give you much simpler access to edits, but others could be devastating to your online presence if you miss them!
If any of these tasks are outside of your realm of knowledge we would be happy to assist with your pages and posting on Google+ or any of your other social media pages. Remember each of these Social Media sites works as it’s own little search engine and feeds into all the big search engine.
